Plum Perfect Pad

One of our most recent jobs was to tackle a dated attic space turned bedroom. The client is a Dad to the sweetest girl, so naturally he wanted to give her a space where friends could come over, hangout, watch tv and then spend the night! We asked Slate Barganier if they would come in and handle the construction, and they did a fantastic job!
Because it was an attic, there were 5 dormer windows, which meant awkward ceiling heights and angles... Oh, joy! We pushed out 2 of the 5 to create more room and eliminate a narrow hall. The third, we turned window seat and added sconce lighting for a great reading area. A vanity and desk were added in the last 2...no wasted space in this project! All the windows were treated with roman shades created by the one and only Stephen Dickerson.

This project ultimately has 4 rooms: bathroom, bedroom, daybed alcove, and tv lounge.
Take a look!

Take it Outside

If you're like us, we live outdoors during these warm months. Eating, playing, socializing and even sleeping. Why not treat your outdoor spaces like you would any indoor room? Comfy throw pillows, a table scape fit for your dining room table -all surrounded by your outdoor space that you have invested so much time/money! These pictures will help you out with some ideas, and maybe the next party you throw will be in the comfort of your own backyard.
Oh, and did I mention, they are all about Lavender :)

Lovin' Lavender

April is now in full swing and our new color is Lavender! Not only is lavender a beautiful hue, but it is also one we LOVE at jojo Home. There is something very calming about this color. When lavender finds its way into a home, it transforms rooms to either sophisticated or playful spaces; all depending on how frequently and dramatically you apply the color.  It looks great on walls, upholstery, pillows, and of course, floral arrangements. You simply can not go wrong with this color!

So many ways to use lavender:

using it as an accent color

on walls

to "liven" up a space

using it with other pastels creates a calming atmosphere

using it to create a fun outdoor space

being bold!

using it as a subtle background color
using it to create drama with pattern!
